Try your hand at keeping bees

Learn the art and science of apiculture, through a mix of classroom and hands-on learning.  Our full-day introductory beekeeping course will give you the knowledge you need to get started keeping honeybees

Topics include: introduction to honeybee biology, beekeeping equipment, seasonal hive management, bee diseases and their treatment, and Ontario regulations and resources.


In the hands-on portions of the day, you will learn how to inspect a beehive and handle frames of bees.  Class size is limited to 12 participants.  Includes lunch. Bee jacket and gloves available to borrow  or bring your own.
