Learn the art and science of beekeeping, through a mix of classroom and hands-on learning. Our beginner beekeeping workshop will give you the knowledge you need to get started keeping honeybees.  Topics include: introduction to honeybee biology, beekeeping equipment, seasonal hive management, bee diseases, and Ontario regulations and resources. In the hands-on portions of the day, you will learn how to inspect a beehive and handle frames of bees. 

Class size is limited to 16 participants.  Bee jackets available to borrow or bring your own.   

Please bring your own lunch and a water bottle.  Coffee, tea, water refill, and snacks will be provided
