Honey Lemonade Recipe

Nothing says summer like ice-cold lemonade, sweetened with our Gees Bees Wildflower Honey.

Honey is not only an all-natural alternative to processed sugar, it also enhances the flavour of the lemons! Tasty and better for you! It can be a littler trickier to dissolve, especially if you try to stir it directly into ice-cold water. Instead, start by making a honey simple syrup which you can use instead to sweeten it.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of Gees Bees Wildflower Honey

  • 1 cup of fresh squeezed lemon juice

  • 4 1/2 cups cold water

  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Make 1 cup of honey simple syrup: In a small saucepan, combine 1/2 cup of water and 1/2 cup of honey. Heat slowly to dissolve the honey - without overheating it (you don't want to destroy the beneficial properties of honey with high heating)

  2. Squeeze 1 cup of fresh lemon juice

  3. Stir lemon juice into 4 cups of cold water

  4. Sweeten to taste with honey-simple syrup

  5. Add ice and stir.

Easy squeezy lemon peasy!
